The purpose is to bundle multiple wires to improve storage. While cable ties are the cheapest option, they offer limited protection against abrasion, heat, and noise.

Protection from continuous abrasion and impact due to equipment operation and vibration. In addition to strength and flexibility, workability has become increasingly important, making the balance of these three factors crucial.

Cable disconnections due to pests and animals have increased in recent years. While some tubes incorporate pest-repellent ingredients, there are cases where they are still chewed through, meaning they are not 100% effective.
